Deviled Crabs


1 cup soft bread cumbs (about 2 slices bread)
1/4 cup milk
2 cups flaked fresh crabmeat
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) margarine or butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon grounded red pepper (cayenne)
1 egg, beaten
1 green onion (with top), chopped

Heat over to 400 degrees. Grease 6 of the largest crab shells or 6 six-ounce ramekins. Mix bread crumbs and milk in large bowl. Mix in remaining ingredients gently. Spoon into shells. Place shells in jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until light brown.
